Australia’s oldest gay and lesbian newspaper, the Sydney Star Observer, celebrated 30 years of publishing with a special edition on Wednesday July 8, kicking off a year of celebrations which will also see the paper publish its 1,000th edition in December.
National newspaper The Australian covered the milestone with a story that included a selection of breaking stories that the Star has covered over the past three decades.
Industry publication mumbrella also covered the news.
Relativity Communications will be assisting the Star with more publicity throughout the year. Relativity partner Samantha Tannous is on the board of the company that publishes the Star Observer and its Melbourne sister, the Southern Star.
