MasterCard Fashion Insider Website

MercerBell contracted Relativity Communications to build a fully CMS driven site for MasterCard for the Hong Kong Fashion Week and beyond. Working with Graphic Designer: Fabio D’Aguanno and Online Director: Micah Howard, Relativity Communications integrated the CMS System and developed the website.
A fully CMS driven site based on an open source CMS (Content Management System) platform. This site was developed so that MasterCard could provide daily updated news content, images and offers for their Hong Kong Fashion Insider Event. The system was easy to use and multiple users were able to manage and update the content daily.
The site has 3 audiences
- People attending Hong Kong Fashion Week.
- Internal agency staff who could edit and add to site content.
- MasterCard staff who could add and edit news content to the site in real time.
The site is fully roles based with member management and is easy to update for both the agency and client. The templates for web development are built into the system so it is easy to update the physical skin of the site as well.
A flash based image gallery was integrated into the site as well as AJAX form validation in this case based on Prototype although we prefer to use JQuery. We also integrated a flash based video player with XML playlist functionality. As well as these features we integrated plugins to the CMS to add form capture into the CMS database and a truncation script to limit the number of characters in article summaries so they were all the same length.
