  • More seminars coming soon

Simple ideas that cost very little but can contribute to marketing impact made an impression on an audience of business owners and marketing managers who attended the first seminar designed to help Australian organizations ride out the economic downturn without abandoning their communications.

The three expert speakers – advertising creative Jane Evans, public relations consultant Samantha Tannous and digital marketing guru Virgil Reality – shared practical advice with the audience, and encouraged attendees to start implementing the ideas now.

The seminar was called “Cut Your Marketing Budget Without Cutting Corners”, a reference to the dramatic reduction in marketing funds available to many organizations once the economic crisis hit in late 2008.

“We believe that organizations have a responsibility to continue their communications in a relevant and effective way despite budget constraints, so that they have every chance of survival through difficult times,” said Samantha Tannous. “With a little knowledge and some great ideas this is achievable for any company.”

The speakers presented practical ideas – from how to obtain product placement in music videos to simple ways to promote a web site – and urged the audience to have courage.

Each member of the audience also left the seminar with a draft press release they could easily send to media outlets, to get the ball rolling.

Jane, Samantha and Virgil will be holding another seminar around similar themes. Stay tuned for more details.
